Call it “freehand cinematography” if you like. Using any handheld camera device (smartphone cameras or compact HD cameras) Ikani progressed from photography as a hobby to short videos and films. Mostly without edited, spoken commentary on them, the topics of Ikani’s videos range from walks in Aberdeen, to a spooky short film, giant rats and even observing how Nigerian wara (Tofu) is made.
Viewing the videos on TV with family and friends, via screen mirroring or use of devices such as Google’s Chromecast, also makes for quite an enjoyable experience.
